We're Here To Help

Here at Fancy Paws Cat Clinic, we know the loss of a pet can be a painful and heartbreaking process. Please know that our hearts are with you during this difficult time, as you prepare to say goodbye to your furry family member.

The decision to euthanize your pet is a difficult one that you don’t have to make alone. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision so you can feel comfortable and at peace with your pet’s last stage of life.

Things to consider:

  1. “Three Favorite Things”- What were your pet’s three favorite things to do when they were in good health? If Fluffy loved chasing the laser pointer, eating her dinner and scratching her cat tree but cannot do two out of these three things anymore, then perhaps her quality of life has declined to the point euthanasia may be the right option.
  2. Basic Needs of Your Pet- Can your pet still eat, drink, defecate and urinate without any help? If you answered no to any of these things, it is time to talk to us about what is best for your ailing pet.
  3. Access to Care- Like many of us, you may be working 8 hour days and unable to return home to care for your sick pet. If your pet’s quality of life is suffering because they need too much care and attention, it may be time to consider euthanasia as an end of life option.

We wish you comfort during this difficult time and urge you to reach out to a staff member if you have any questions regarding our euthanasia process. Cats leave paw prints on our hearts forever and we are lucky to have them share such a special part of our lives.

Sincerely,

The Staff at Fancy Paws Cat Clinic
